Marcelo López-Dinardi is an immigrant, designer, educator based in Texas, and Assistant Professor of Architecture at Texas A&M University. He was a founding Partner of A(n) Office (2013-2020), whose work was exhibited at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale. He has written for The Avery Review, The Architect’s Newspaper, Domus, ARQ, Plat journal, Planning Perspectives, Art Forum (China), Bitácora, Materia, and has presented his work nationally and internationally, including at Columbia GSAPP, RISD, The Cooper Union, Rice Architecture, ETSAM, and numerous academic conferences. In 2022 he was nationally elected At-Large Director for the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture’s (ACSA) Board of Directors for the 2022-2025 period. He is working on the book Architecture from Public to Commons (Routledge, 2023). He holds a B.Arch. from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (cum laude) and an M.S. in Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices for architecture from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation of Columbia University in the City of New York.
